അമരകോശത്തിലെ സങ്കരജാതികൾ

അമരകോശത്തിലെ ശൂദ്രവർഗ്ഗം എന്ന അധ്യായത്തിൽ പ്രതിപാദിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള സങ്കരജാതിൾ പട്ടികരൂപത്തിൽ ഇതാ:

	സ്ത്രീ  - ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ	സ്ത്രീ - ക്ഷത്രിയൻ	സ്ത്രീ - വൈശ്യൻ	സ്ത്രീ - ശൂദ്രൻ
പു  - ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ			അംബഷ്ഠൻ ചികിത്സ
പു  - ക്ഷത്രിയൻ	സൂതൻ ആനപിടുത്തം		മാഹിഷ്യൻ ജ്യോതിഷം, ശകുനശാസ്ത്രം	ഉഗ്രൻ ആയുധപ്രയോഗം
പു  - വൈശ്യൻ	വൈദേഹകൻ കലകൾ	മാഗധൻ രാജസമീപം സ്തുതിപാടൽ		കരണൻ എഴുത്ത്
പു  - ശൂദ്രൻ	ചണ്ടാലൻ		ക്ഷത്താ തേർ തെളിക്കുക

റ്റ - words

Here are some common റ്റ - words and their etymologies.

May of the the -റ്റ words seems to be related to roots that end in -റു: For example:

അറ്റം (end) < അറുക (to cut off, to come to an end).  A related noun is അറുതി = the end.
കുറ്റം (fault, shortcoming) <  കുറുക (to shorten)
നാറ്റം (smell) < നാറുക (to smell)
മറ്റ് (other) <  മറു (other)  മാറ്റം (change)  < മാറുക (to change)

There is also another origin for the -റ്റ words - coming from ന്ന. Consider the following pairs:

ഊറ്റം (strength) < ഊന്നുക (to stress, to emphasize)
തീറ്റ (food) < തിന്നുക (to eat)
പിറ്റേ (later) < പിൻ , പിന്നുക (to follow)
മുറ്റം (quadrangle, courtyard)  < മുൻ, മുന്ന്  (in front of) (Etymology given in ശബ്ദതാരാവലി)
